A Playhouse for my Babies.

My parent's decided to come this weekend to visit even though they saw the kids last weekend. The main reason was last weekend we went to Sam's club and Jackson saw a playhouse that he loved. Long story short my parents decided to get my babies this beautiful playhouse. My kiddos are so lucky! My parent's showed up on Thursday and Jackson climbed into his Papa's truck to help with the suitcases. When he saw the box he was actually speechless. I have never seen this expression from him before absolutely priceless! It took my dad 2 whole days to put it together and we just finished treating the wood tonight! I can't wait to spend countless hours in our backyard playing with their new favorite thing. Thanks Mimi and Papa!!!!

So Long???

Sorry everyone that it has been such a long time for a new post. We were so busy with the Christmas season which we were able to spend at Pappy's house, Jackson was so much fun this year and Weslynn enjoyed ripping all of the paper. They recieved way too much!!! We had such a hard time stuffing everything into our van on the way home. Pretty much since the holidays we have been visiting with family and friends in one way or another. My sister was able to come home from New York City and visit which I was really needing, I was so used to getting to see her every month!!!

Also during this time we have been spending time in Carlsbad, My Aunt Jody was diagnosed with Lung Cancer the day after Halloween. We have been home visiting with her and my cousin Dawn. She went through an extreme amount of pain and lost her battle with cancer Februray 13th. I am deeply saddened by this, she is in so many of my memories throughout my childhood and adult life! I am thankful that she is no longer suffering but my heart goes out to her daughter Dawn who had already lost her brother, father and grandmother. My heart also goes out to my mother for losing her sister. I can not imagine this!!!! I would die without my sister she is my rock and she is always there. So tommorow the kids and I are heading to Carlsbad to be with our family and I have no idea when we will return. I am hoping that my mother can come back with us! We will see what happens.

As for the blog I will try to be better at updating, it's just when I sit down to the computer there are a hundred other things that I need to do at the same moment!!! I love you all and hope to see you soon.

Santa Is Coming!

I believe that this is going to be the best Christmas so far with Jackson. He is really into Santa Claus, used to he would hide behind me and try to get by without being seen, however this year every chance he gets he wants to talk to him just to make sure that Santa knows that he has been good. We have done tons of things so far to get ready for Christmas we have had breakfast with Santa, Gift exchanges, story times, baking, Riding Christmas on the Pecos to name a few.

Last night was probably the best so far! In the little community we live in Santa drives around town on top of a firetruck bringing a bag full of fruit and candy to the children. The whole time he has the siren ringing and is ho,ho,ho ing all the way around. The first time Jackson saw the lights he was ecstatic! "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, he's coming to MY house mommy!" Jackson said. It did take about 30 minutes for him to get to our house so every time the siren went off again Jackson had to run outside just to make sure that he hadn't been passed up. He didn't seem to mind the 25 degree weather he just wanted to see Santa. When he finally got to our house Jackson was so excited, it was just too cute. Jumping up and down he received his bag and headed toward the house, all of the sudden he remembered something and ran back to the street and shouted "Don't forget Santa, I want a Leapster!!!". Then he headed into the house with a look of accomplishment on his face. "Mommy now Santa knows where I live", I didn't have the heart to tell him we are going to be at Pappy's house for Christmas but perhaps we will tackle that conversation tomorrow. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Getting To Big For Her Britches!!!

So Little Miss Weslynn is now 7 months old and full of energy. I truly believe that she thinks she is going to miss something if she is not aware of her surroundings all of the time. We now have tooth number four and still counting, It seems as though I am dealing with a new puppy instead of an infant with the amount of things she is chewing up!!!

She had been doing the worm, as we called it) for sometime now but could only figure out how to go backwards. Well yesterday was the day she figured out to get her knees under her and move!!! The look on her face was priceless, it was like she had just found gold!!! She sure is persistent because the hardwood floor has her slipping around quite a bit but when she gets her momentum going watch out.

Jason was giving me a hard time last night "You know Wendy, pretty soon she is going to be able to catch and then your never going to get a break!" he said, boy isn't that going to be the truth. I am so happy that she is developing her mind and body but I am so going to miss that little baby stage. I don't want either of my kids to grow up, perhaps I will figure a way to run off with them to never never land!

Awanas

We all had such a good day today, the kids and I hung out with friends all afternoon and then when dad got home from work we went to Penny Park. Jackson loves Penny Park and he is so cute playing on everything, sometimes I just sit back and watch him and can't believe how big and smart he is!!! I love him to pieces.
After the park we took Jackson to Awanas (like cub scouts but through church) tonight they were getting to use all of the points they had earned to shop for Christmas gifts for their parents. He was sooooooo excited and told us that we had to leave so we couldn't see what he was going to get us. When I picked him up he told me he had bought us surprises but then proceeded to tell me what they were. He got me a Christmas star because he said he knew I loved stars and daddy horse plates for his cokes. (They are coasters.) He just was so proud of himself and it was so cute.
While we left Jackson at Awanas Bubba, Weslynn and I decided to go and eat dinner. We wanted to try one place but they were closed so we tried Diane's. It ended up being a really nice restaurant and we were not expecting that. I'm sure I looked great there in my sweats and no makeup but anyhoo, Weslynn was so well behaved that the dinner almost seemed like a date so all in all it was a great night.

Getting Started.

So we are all trying to prepare for our first Christmas back in New Mexico. We have been living back here since September 21st, 2008 and have really enjoyed being closer to our family. The kids and I have been on numerous trips since the beginning of October; we have been to Alamogordo twice, Carlsbad twice and California once. Our family has been able to come up to Silver City and spend time with us too!!! The babies are loving getting to see their grandparents so often, Jackson even decided he was going to hitch a ride home with his Mimi and Papa and we had to go and pick him up!
I definitely am still missing all of my close friends that I love so much in CA. I can't wait to go back in Feb. and go visit them. We are still working on selling our house and are still hopeful, it could be worse. The house that we are renting here is VERY old but clean and it is fulfilling it's purpose, I do think that when our year is up that we will look for something with more room though.
So this next week we are just planning on preparing for Christmas, I still have tons of shopping to do, lots of wrapping and mailing left and I promised Jax that we will bake a lot!!! So I have seven days to get everything done and the house clean so I feel that I can leave it. We are planning to spend the holidays in Alamogordo with JD and Kandace, also my parents and hopefully my nonny will be coming up too! Mandy is New York City and I am missing her so much, when she lived in Phoenix we were able to see each other at least once a month! I am wishing her a great Christmas.
